Culture Moves Europe’s second rolling call encourages cooperative cross-border projects of individuals or groups of not more than five people to apply for a grant. The programme implemented by the Goethe-Institut on behalf of the European Union, accepts applications from Creative Europe countries and with at least one partnering artist, organisation or venue.
The grants cover a partial daily allowance, travel costs and include a variety of individual top-ups to facilitate a trip to a partnering Creative Europe country, lasting less than 21 days for individuals or less than 60 for groups. The project should be of explorative, connective, educative or creative nature and not exhibit an already existing work. Eligible sectors are literature, architecture, cultural heritage, visual and performing arts, music, design and fashion design.
The artistic experience does not play a role in this call, long-term impact, sustainability and cooperative planning make up the list of criteria instead. In addition, the necessity of the mobility for the named duration should become apparent. In case of a successful application, Culture Moves Europe decides the granted sum individually, taking into account the travelled distance and living circumstances like family or disability, which lead to top-ups to the grant.
This is a rolling call, meaning applications are accepted continously with deadlines at the end of each month while the call is running.
Final deadline of this second rolling call: 31 May 2024
More information on the Call for Individual Mobility is found here. Additionally, there is room for questions in reoccurring online sessions with Culture moves Europe representatives (next on 22 March), as the one recorded here.
