Estonian Fashion Festival

06 June 2024 - 9 June 2024

The first Estonian Fashion Festival will be held in Tartu from June 6th to 9th as part of the main program of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, which focuses on the Arts of Survival. The festival aims to be environmentally friendly, accessible, and sustainable and will feature three unique fashion shows—Mood-Performance-Dance, Antonius Fashion Show, and OmaMood. In addition to the fashion shows, the festival's side program will include a Greenery seminar for designers, a showroom for industry professionals, exhibitions, workshops, and a film program for a wider audience.

The festival will showcase Estonian designers who incorporate sustainable practices in their work. The goal is to learn from and share these experiences to promote sustainable fashion designers in the future and create a better tomorrow through culture.

To emphasize the significance of sustainability in fashion and support artists in this field, the CCI Contact Desk is contributing to this year's festival by presenting an award to the most sustainable fashion designer. The award includes a study trip to Copenhagen, which will involve a visit to the Copenhagen Sustainable Fashion Week and the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair and a development program in collaboration with Danish partners. The Danish partners will attend the Estonian Fashion Festival and be part of the jury to decide on the prize award.

Time frame:
